The five strong inspection team were lavish in their praise of the school highlighting many exceptional areas of provision. The team were particularly effusive in their recognition of the students' outstanding levels of achievement and behaviour with the explicit link made between these high standards to outstanding teaching and leadership and management. Headmaster, Richard Bernard, stated ' I am delighted with this external validation by Ofsted of the first class educational provision that Northampton School for Boys provides. I am extremely proud of the students who have an exceptional attitude and sense of pride towards their school and of all of the staff and governors who work extraordinarily hard to maintain and improve on such high standards. Parents are also incredibly supportive. On top of this outstanding report we continue to enjoy national and international success in sport and in all areas of music and performing arts and we have a brand new, state of the art, swimming pool and dance studio opening this week. The school is flourishing and has an extremely bright future ahead'.
