Headmaster's Bulletin 26th March 2021
We say a fond farewell today to Art teacher, Tim Stanforth who has been a longstanding member of the school's Art department since 2004. Tim has given a tremendous amount to NSB both as an outstanding Art teacher and in his exceptional support of the school's extracurricular trips and residential programme. The school wishes him a long and well-deserved happy retirement.
NSB’s outstanding Music Department was highly praised in a speech by the School’s Standards Minister Nick Gibb MP earlier this week. The Schools’ Minister was outlining the point that a school with a strong academic curriculum and focus can still achieve excellence in Music and the Arts.
NSB was delighted to play host to an exhilarating 'Light it in Red' national event which fired up the skies above the school playing fields last Friday evening. The stunning drone formation of a heart was both moving and a triumph of technology, conveying a hugely powerful message of support for the live event industry and the NHS across the Northampton skyline. The messages of support were echoed on the plasma screens of the Northampton University Tower on which the NSB logo was also proudly displayed.
Northamptonshire County Council have asked all schools to draw to parents' attention a letter from the County's Director of Public Health, Lucy Wightman regarding the pandemic and the Easter Holidays. Please Click Here
Time has flown since the students returned from lockdown and we look forward very much to their safe return at the beginning of Term 5 on Tuesday 13th April. Parents and carers are reminded that Monday 12th April is a Training Day for staff only.
