UK Young Drummer of the Year Nomination 2019

Year 12 NSB student Edward Jennings has been selected onto the long list for the UK Young Drummer of the Year. This is the fifth year in a row he has got through to the long list of 40 young drummers under the age of 17.
He has also just been awarded a rhythm section award from NCBF (National Concert Band Festival) when performing in the Platinum awarded performance with the School Big Band recently.
For Young Drummer of the Year 2020 he has to compose a 2-minute solo that has to tick a number of different styles and disciplines. He is, without question, one of the hottest talents on the instrument at the moment - to get through once to the latter stages of this elite competition is difficult but to get through five years in a row highlights his ability.
He will find out on the 10th December if he has been selected in the top 10. If he is selected, he will go through to the final!
