Headmaster's Bulletin 13th March 2020
It’s been a difficult week for schools across the country in response to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. I would be grateful for all parents and carers to read the school’s current position and contingency plans in the event of any future enforced school closure due to the virus. The information is in a Health Notice, which can be accessed from the front page of the school website. A hard copy of this Notice has also been sent home with all students today: Click Here
The virus has had its first significant impact on a major school event as the MOVE IT dance festival in London has been postponed, which means that our students will not get the opportunity to perform on the Main Stage of the ExCel Centre, London this week but hopefully the event will be moved to a later date in the year.
The Year 8 boys football team fought valiantly in their National Semi-Final in Essex today before losing a tense game 3-1. This marks the end of an excellent National Cup season for the school where we reached four Quarter-Finals and one Semi-Final. We can look forward to a very exciting season next year on a new pitch, as we have had recent confirmation that our 3G pitch, which has given NSB eleven years of loyal service, will be re-laid over the summer holiday period.
We had a fantastic 95% turnout at Y12 Parents’ Evening last night and the school is pleased with the overall progress of the vast majority of this year group in their first year of Sixth Form.
